DISCOVER THE INCREDIBLE POWER OF BREATHWORK
WHAT IS BREATHWORK?
Breathwork consists of guided breathing exercises that help you get out of your mind quickly and into your body. It doesn’t require any experience in meditation or mindfulness. The results can be spiritual awakening, self-awareness, self-healing and meditative states for mental, physical and spiritual well-being.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM BREATHWORK?
Breathwork therapy is beneficial for individuals suffering from anxiety, chronic pain, anger, depression, addiction, trauma and posttraumatic stress, grief, and losses. Breathwork can also be nourishing for someone looking for personal growth, inner peace, clarity, inspiration, and insights.
WHAT KIND OF BREATHWORK DO I TEACH?
My teaching is based on the Essence of Breath Modality developed by Annie Langlois, which is a new, deep, and gentle approach using the power of breathwork in combination with different techniques such as yoga, meditation, felt senses, mindfulness, and intuitive movement.
Her techniques, skillfully combined in an integrative flow and safe environment, release the stress accumulated in the physical and mental structures of the body. This powerful process energizes our being at all levels and guides it to its full potential.
THE BENEFITS OF BREATHWORK
Breathing affects every system and function in the body. Understanding the power of breathing purposefully can help reduce stress and anxiety, increase energy levels, rebalance hormones, improve sleep and digestion, heal emotional trauma, alleviate chronic pain, and improve cardiovascular health.
A POWERFUL HEALING MODALITY
We are carrying an incredible amount of tension from trauma and past experiences which is interfering with our dreams, goals, and relationships. Using our breath in an intentional and
connected way allows us to go into the body and release all the emotions that no longer serves us. Breathwork helps put the mind aside so we can reconnect to our body. Energy awareness creates healing. As your mind has many defence mechanisms, breathing helps release trapped energy, feel and release emotions, and return to inner peace.
You need to feel to heal!

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A BREATHWORK SESSION
- A certified practitioner performs a session live or online
- It starts with an open dialogue to set intentions
- It is followed by an opening exercise to set the stage
- The active breathing session is usually 30 to 40 minutes
- The session ends with a short integration and sharing period (meditation, gratitude practice, closing exercise) to anchor the experience
During the session, bath sounds, basic yoga poses, meditations, conscious movements, facilitator touches and various smells are added to to enhance the experience as needed.
IS BREATHWORK SAFE?
The practice of slow, deep, and regular breathing is considered SAFE. You are in control of your own experience the entire time. It is not going to alter your state of consciousness but bring you to explore your body. While Breathwork can be performed through both the nose and the mouth, some medical conditions are considered contraindications for “mouth” Breathwork:
Pregnancy • Epilepsy • Cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases • Stroke • Uncontrolled hypertension and diabetes • Schizophrenia • Bipolar disease • Major depression • Severe anxiety disorder • Panic disorder • Glaucoma and Retinal detachment
